I really love this recipe for an all natural, sugar free, electrolyte lemonade. It's super refreshing and so much better than the products we purchase over the counter! I drink one of these every single day, as a great way to get my natural electrolytes into my body. Sometimes I will add a scoop or 2 of non-flavored collagen, some powdered potassium citrate, and some tumeric, as a way of getting even more vitamins and minerals into my day! But start with this recipe first, then tweak to your desire!
4 cups water
1/3 cup pure lemon juice (found in bottles at most health food stores - or you can squeeze your own juice from Meyers Lemons!)
1-3 Tbsp aloe vera juice from inner filet (found in most health food stores)
1/4 - 1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt, finely ground
4-6 drops liquid stevia (optional)
Add all ingredients in a container with a lid, that can be shaken up, well, before serving. Serve over ice.
I like to put mine in a 40 oz water bottle, with some ice, and take it with me for the day. You can make a larger batch and store in the fridge for a few days. That way you can just pour and go!
